Roulette Myths

The game of roulette has a certain amount of mystique that surrounds it. No doubt much of this has come from the games portrayal in various films over the year. Surely, you’ve seen scenes with high rollers betting it all on the spin of the roulette wheel. Much false information has been spread over the years regarding this popular casino draw. Many people have wrong ideas about the game of roulette and these misconceptions need to be pointed out as such.
They do not realize that there are actually different kinds of roulette wheels. They believe there is only one type. In actuality, there are two kinds of wheel which are known as American and European. You do have options when choosing to play roulette by the version you want. Don’t forget this important fact.

Another incorrect belief people hold, goes with the odds of these roulette wheels. They believe the odds are the same for every roulette game. Actually this is false given the information mentioned above. The different roulette games have different wheels each with a different number of number slots in which the ball can land. The American wheel has an additional number on it that the European version does not. Knowing this can actually help your roulette game. The European roulette wheel gives the house a much smaller edge than the American version. Therefore, you have a better chance of seeing your money returned to you when using the European wheel.

Still other people honestly believe that the roulette results are influenced by the casino. Given the regulations placed upon casinos today, this naturally has to be false. The construction of the roulette wheel makes it difficult to fix. The reels built in the roulette wheel do not include any sort of mechanism designed to rig the results of the roulette wheel. Therefore, the casino is unable to control the game. You do not have to worry about the ball landing more often on one color or even one number more than others. All events have an equal chance of occurring. Casino games hinge on chance, nothing else.
